Please teach me!

This shot is truly amazing and I would love to know your process of creating this picture. Sharpness is perfect from front to back and the lightning is absolutely spot on resulting in a mysterious but well lit picture.

Angle is really original. I just cannot stop looking at this image. Fascinating.

I just can't help it; I just love ladybirds. This one really stands out for me. The sharpness is beautiful and the lighting is perfect. Great DOF.

This shot made top ten not only of the things mentioned aboven, but foremost because this little bug made me smile. It seems to walk straight at me with its little legs lifted to take a step forward. Great work!

Beautiful and serene

There are a lot of awesome shots of extreme close-ups of beetles in this composition. This one stands out being just the opposite. The beetles only make up a little portion of the picture but yet your eyes are immediately drawn to the intimate moment the beetles are sharing.

Colours are nice and fresh giving me the feeling of a nice day in spring or summer. If you focus on the beetles the picture almost seems 3D and you expect the beetles to come alive at any moment. Great work!

50 shades of green.

Love the negative space in the picture Although the only color in this shot seems to be green there are a lot of shades of green and the beetle really stands out against the soft background. The diagonal lines work perfectly. LIghting is nice and soft and the sharpness is spot on.

This shot makes me wonder..... what is down below the little beetle? It really seems to be focussing on something.

Good choice of diafragma resulting in the upperpart of the body and the beetle's head being perfectly in focus. Composition works really well. Definately one of my favourites in this competition.
