This Cheetah seems very relaxed lounging on one of her favourite spots - the good old termite mound and posing for the camera. Cheetah's love termite mounds as it gives them a vantage point to survey the area for any prey or threats

Congratulations on 7th

The photographer has done an excellent job of catching this Leaping Lion at night. The photographer knows what the camera can do and has raised the ISO to a whopping 12800 to freeze the action and get a tack sharp photo. There is no visible hint of any grain.

Congratulations on 3rd

Wow.... the mesmerising gaze of the Leopard. The photographer has captured the perfect moment with the Leopard staring directly at the camera. The low level angle, the composition and the bokeh complete this photo.

Congratulations on 5th

The photographer has done a great job in capturing Scarface, the erstwhile King of the Marsh Pride, annoyed by those pesky flies. It looks like he may have just gotten up as he has some grass on his mane. The King in all likelihood attracts a higher number of flies because of his scarred right eye

Congratulations on the Win

Meet the judge

The photographer has taken a stunning landscape which tells a story. The Leopard looks safe, smug and snug being up on the tree with the 3 Elephants in the background roaming the savannahs.

Congratulations on 8th

I would like to see your black and white photos of big cats in the wild. Please do not enter any photos of animals in captivity and please avoid close ups as it should clear it is a wild animal. Please only enter photos in black and white.

The photographer has done a brilliant job in capturing and exposing this rim lit Lion. The condensation of his breath emanating from his yawn makes this photo, Other bits that captured my attention were his rim lit tongue and his whiskers

Congratulations on 2nd

A great photo of what looks like a male Tiger walking on the road and staring at the camera. The photographer has caught the perfect moment of the raised paw which brings out a sense of motion. The dappled light works well. I found the crop to be very unusual.

Congratulations on 10th
