Bird Feathers in Close-Up

Brief

In this contest, please show me your close-up or macro photographs of bird feathers. Avian plumage is marvellously functional and often incredibly beautiful so images should concentrate on the beauty and patterns of the feathers. The feathers must be on a bird itself, not in hats or other decor. Photographs can be in colour or monochrome.
