First of all, huge congratulations to you! This is such a lovely capture and there are two major things I have to praise it for. Firstly, you were able to limit the photo to two colors. To do this with an animal subject is not easy but the effect it has is beautiful. The rich red and yellow along with the overall clarity of the photo is captivating. Secondly, I very much appreciate how everything in this photo is vertical, from the foreground to the background. It was very well done. Keep up the amazing work.

For this contest I would like to see your best colour photos of birds among flowers. Please no people in the photos and only images in colour, no black and white.
What a lovely capture. This is such a simple photo and its simplicity is what really makes it shine. The pastels really give it a baby feel, which is perfect for the subject. The daisies also give off the sense of peace and innocence, making it such an attractive picture. The blur around the top and bottom of the photo really helps the viewers to hone in on the gosling. Very good job.
Now this picture really caught my attention as soon as I saw it. I absolutely love the color palette and how this owl is nestled neatly into the surrounding flowers. He is sharp where the flowers are blurred, giving it a neat effect. I also appreciate the small bit of straw in the picture, so his golden brown color isn't solitary. Well done.
I think you did a positively marvelous job with the photo. I love the completely green bokeh as well as the sharpness of the bird. You followed the rule of thirds, which definitely suits the picture. While the flowers are dead, I feel like they impact the picture in a uniquely attractive way. Keep up the great work,

What an outstanding photo, I absolutely love it. The owl looks positively adorable in the pool of bluebells. I love how he almost gazes pensively upward. He has a beautiful, peaceful expression and the color he is surrounded by could not be anymore perfect. I love the vibrant blue, it makes this picture all the more delightful to look at. Amazing job, congratulations.
First of all congratulations to you, this is a spectacular photo. I love not only how you can see all of the striking details of the bird, but also the tiniest details on the flowers. The pink and gold background is a blend of the foreground colors. It creates a sense of harmony that helps make this picture so appealing. Amazing job, what a beautiful capture.
This is a great hummingbird capture, well done. The bird is suitably crisp and the natural vignette allows the eye to be drawn to him. The flowers are beautifully vibrant but not overwhelming. And not even the bee takes too much attention away from the hummingbird. Altogether this photo is beautiful. Keep up the great work.
The first word that comes to mind is magnificent. This is a spectacular image, I love the dominant white. The owl looks especially majestic and at the same time very peaceful. The gentle blur of the flowers creates a snow-like effect and really gives off a peaceful feel. Congratulations, keep up the great work.
Meet the judge
You did a great job with this photo, it is so crisp and the colors are neat. I love the bunches of pale pink flowers, especially when they are set against the bold blue of the sky. The bird doesn't stand out too much, but his unique color allows for the eye to be naturally drawn to him. Keep up the great work.
This cardinal definitely stands out in the photo. I love how his vibrant red stands so strongly against the white in the rest of the picture. I also like how this cardinal is surrounded by white flowers in the spring instead of the snow in the winter. It is a more unique red and white scheme with a cardinal. Well done.
First off, the bird and his expression cooperate beautifully with the rest of the photo. This owl seems like he's just taking it easy. As for the photo itself, the color of the eyes really tie the owl in to the rest of the picture. It is very engaging. The rich red poppies don't block or take away him and the rule of thirds is well applied.
This is a lovely photo, from the position of the bird to the petals on the flowers. I love how about half of the photo is fairly clear and the other half is similarly colored bokeh. The simplicity of the bunting gives the picture a sense of ordinary beauty. I love how when you look at it you can almost hear the bird singing. Very beautiful capture.
This is such a charming photo, I love how the bird is perched. I also appreciate how the furthest flower from him gives off a gentle sense of symmetry. It is of similar height but still doesn't take away from the bird. I also love how simple the setting is, the components put together a very pleasing picture. Well done.
I am very fond of this picture and how the size and weight of the bird can be determined by the tulip he's perched on. The vibrant and dominant red color stands out brilliantly. I think this picture looks very nice and even cropped it would have looked lovely I'm sure. Overall, it is beautiful. Keep up the good work.
