There’s something particularly fascinating about birds of prey. They are rarer finds than many common species, and have a certain majesty and power about them. Their particular skill is often to be able to hover in mid-air, or soar on the wind, looking for prey, but then to dive at speed and take their next live meal. Our definition for this contest is taken from the ‘Bird of prey’ wikipedia page (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_of_prey) and includes species that primarily hunt and feed on vertebrates, including owls.
