Stunning image!!! Absolutely beautiful. Very well lit & this is a tricky portrait to light too. Male form is well highlighted & designed by light. Love the pain & emotion & how it fulfills your theme. Pose of the model is perfect for his frame. The framing is perfect for me. Truly love this image - super well done.
Crop is a bit tight for my liking here. Expression, emotion & background all contribute nicely to the story. Lighting lending a moody hand to a moody story too. Very nice - bit wider next time please. Getting each side of the sofa fully in frame next time would be great! Plus showing a bit more of the lady's wardrobe would strengthen up who she is & what this image communicates :))) Excellent docu style.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked below 1000 in this week’s <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/photographer-community/">Leaderboard</a>.** If you have an aspiring actor as a friend, there’s every chance you’ve been asked to shoot a black and white headshot. A focus on the face, stripped of colour, and presumably seen to be offering a kind of objective rendering of the person’s likeness, against which each can be judged against the other? Black and white headshots can still be bursting with creativity though. The expression, the direction of the head, and the eyes, the backdrop, the hair, there are still a lot of variables to play with, and the act of shooting someone’s headshot can be a great interaction between sitter and snapper.
