The shadow along with the sidelong glance tends to enhance the portrayal of a woman with much to tell- but of which we will never know The composition is perfect with the balance of light falling to the right of the image . The laid back view of his face proves that he is embracing the light and what it has to offer. The play on shadow and light in order to enhance his features is skillfully executed. The shape of the light and shadow tends to enhance that of the woman's hat as well as the shape of her body. Her femininity and elegance is further enhanced by the way sh eholds the tip of the hat. Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge . The play on black and white is executed perfectly within this image- with that of the bright white wall in sharp contrast to the darkened black railings. The two faceless women are also perfectly posed, creating an air of mystery by having the faces hidden from the viewer . This , however, tends to draw the viewer's eye in so as to peruse the image even further. A perfect image in black and white. Congratulations and well done!
