Black and white wildlife

Colour is a powerful element for most photos, but by removing it you remove an added distraction that interferes with the viewer's sensitivity to textures, patterns and contrasts. Wildlife images, especially, may be surrounded by bright blue skies or lush green foliage – all of which takes some of the attention away from the main subject.
