Blossom

The softness, pastel colors and tones of this photo add such a lovely mood! Lighting is also nice and soft and the simplicity of the composition and background texture choice colors really add up to a very beautiful floral photograph.

The use of selective focus here really simplified this photo beautifully. The soft background created a lovely, painterly feel and filled the background without stealing any attention away from the blossom is focus. Lighting is also soft and even, perfect for this type of photo.

This photo is well composed, but what makes it stand out to me are the blue tones in the background, so unexpected and a wonderful contrast the the pink buds. Focus on the one full blossom is sharp and immediately grabs my eye.

This photograph captures Spring in such a lovely way! From the blossoms in the trees to the petals sprinkled on the benches and covering the pavement, Spring has painted this scene with flowers! The diagonal line of benches shows careful composition too.

Such a lovely example of how simplifying an image can make it much, much stronger. The directionality in the lighting highlights the flowers and side of the vase beautifully, and the background is rich and dark, also very important when using a black background.

The use of a high key exposure is quite lovely here! The image is well exposed and there is just enough detail in the various tones of pink petals as well as the texture of the leaves. The simple white background was the perfect choice as well.

I love the simplicity of this photos, excellent choice in point of view. Filling the background with muted blue sky and clouds really makes the blossoms and leaves in the tree stand out, and the stones add a wonderful sense of place too.

I love the simplicity of this image, and the time of day chosen to make this photograph really made the blossoms stand out from the darker background. The tree is well placed on the left of the frame which allows the long limbs and blossoms to stretch off across the image.
