Boring buildings

I really liked the aerial perspective that the photographer has used here. It gives emphasis to dense and uniform repetition of the the buildings which some may find boring. I was drawn to this striking image as I felt that the black and white, high contrast editing evokes a mood of urban monotony. A worthy winner, well done :)

I really liked this street scene which I felt captures ordinary and functional buildings yet is alive with multiple stories. These worn facades and the subtle use of colour and tone elevates the mundane into something that is familiar and engaging. A good entry for the brief.

I like how the photographers choice of subject fits the competition brief capturing plain, functional facades with the vibrant colours of the these buildings. The composition of the vertical lines and perspective adds elegance and I feel hilights how the use of colour and perspective can make for a interesting image.
