A truly spectacular image of an amazing viewpoint. This photograph has so many different and fantastic elements that make it special. The wonderful landscape, clouds and the road to start with but the light trails elevate the shot to jaw dropping status. A great reward for having the patience to stay out there until 1am!
Such a difficult choice with so many fabulous images to choose from but this image of a tornado in Mid-West America was the one that stood out to me as a bucket list photograph. The tornado is perfectly shot and for me the image really captures the sense of peril. You have to be in the right at the right time and must be amazing to see, a brilliant image of a true bucket list item.
The Northern Lights must be on many people's bucket lists and indeed there were many entries to this competition. The reason this one stood out for me is that it is well exposed with a beautiful aurora. Also importantly, and something I often find lacking in aurora shots, is that there us a clear focal point and a nice composition to complement the sky.
As I said in the competition brief, a bucket list can mean different things to different people. This image called "Guitar solo" and is taken at a concert of the band of a family friend so didn't involve travelling to a far flung destination or jumping out of an aeroplane. It is superbly executed - the exposure time is perfect and give a great feeling of motion and the focal length makes the image feel very real and close.

A Bucket List can include many different items. It could be almost anything - a place, an experience or an achievement. It is personal to the individual and for this contest we would like to see images that represent your own personal interpretation of Bucket List.

This is a lovely shot the exposure and lighting are spot on and it is a wonderful setting for the aurora. I felt more care could have been taken to straighten the horizon, perhaps a little more foreground to lead the eye (although composition is a personal preference) and this image could be improved.
