Cable Cars and Chair Lifts

great set of entries to choose from. i chose this one as winner because it was a good clear focussed shot of the cable car but with the lovely backdrop that enhanced it but didnt detract from the actual ride. nice to see the people inside too.

a very close second as i like how this cable car is just launching off from the station. lovely backdrop of the mountain area. clear picture , focus on the cable car, just what i wanted to see. if there had been someone inside it might have tipped the balance but its a great image nevertheless.

a lovely photo of a cable car climbing the montainside. perfect capture and clarity. i went to innsbruck zoo thats halfway up via a furnicular ride but i didnt dare go on the next stage up which is by this one, so its fab to see it.

people may wonder why i popped this into the top ten but the sheer happiness radiates from these two people, either they enjoyed the ride up or they are relieved they made it up. ive been on cable cars but i could never go on a chair lift like this so they are very brave. fab capture as they arrive and a lovely natural backdrop.

i absolutely loved the colours in this photo. totally amazing picture a wonderful fairground ride but still a chair lift . definately a nostalgic type photo and lovely to look at. the lighting was great too nice and soft. thanks for entering my contest hope you enjoyed it.
