Capturing life's moments and memories

Open Rating Results
Brief

All submissions to this contest must be shot and processed on an Apple iOS device – iPhone, iPad and iPod. Photos shot on any other camera or phone camera aren't eligible, and we're not accepting submissions edited on a desktop. Please include EXiF data.

In this iOS-only contest, we're working with iPhone photography expert Jack Hollingsworth to hunt down the best of those everyday snapshots of life that have become so accessible since the birth of the camera phone. Although iPhone cameras are generally seen as technically inferior to DSLRs, the quality of a photo mostly depends on the photographer’s vision and creative aim. So, even if you have very little experience with iPhoneography, what better time to test the limits of your phone's camera? Good luck!

Moment Lens, MeFoto, Conceptor (iBlazr2) and Jack Hollingsworth are together providing over $1500 (USD) of prizing to the first, second and third-place finishers in both the expert and crowd categories.

Prize details

The winners of both the expert category and the crowd category will be sent a $500 (USD) iPhone lens kit from Moment Lens, including their Tele lens, Wide lens, Super Fish lens, Macro lens, lens caps, Leather Neck strap, Travel case and lens pen.

The runners up in both categories will be sent the MeFoto Air tripod ($125) and Sidekick 360 adapter ($30).

The 3rd place finishers in both categories will win a Conceptor iBlazr2 flash/combo pack ($130).

The 1st, 2nd and rd place finishers in both categories will be sent a copy of Jack Hollingsworth's brand new book 'The Joy of iPhotography'.

IMPORTANT: If you finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd and your entry doesn't include EXiF data, you will be asked to provide the original file to prove your entry was taken on an Apple iOS device. If you aren’t able to do this, your prizes will be offered to the next placed participant who can provide eligible EXiF data. Please note that this affects whether or not you are sent the above prizes, and will not affect the overall positions as displayed on Photocrowd. Any images showing illegible EXiF data will be withdrawn without notice.

How it works

Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.

Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
