This is a very beautiful picture, and quite unexpected. When we judge a photography contest we mostly see pictures of animals in their setting, or close ups. But rarely those kind of pictures in black and white with a black background. But not only is it an original picture, it is also wonderfully executed and I love the details of the fur which adds a mood to it.

What an amazing picture ! The capybara head is very cute, and the fur taking the rest of the frame (at least almost) adds a mood and cuteness to the animal. Not only is the capybara cute, but here also is the technique brillant. Not too much, not too few. Just perfect

This picture is brillant with the capybara opening his mouth to scream. Right at the perfect moment it tells a story but also lets us with several questions: Why does it scream ? Danger ? Calling a partner ? Congrats for this very beautiful shoot !

This image is simply amazing: Capybaras with their heads covered in algae add a very nice mood to it. We also see how capybaras are never, or rarely "left alone", indeed they love to be in groups or even be with other animals ! The picture is also amazingly executed with almost no blur, which is difficult to achieve in wildlife photography.

This is a wonderful picture that shows perfectly the peaceful character of Capybaras. While they are big and have sharp teeth, they rarely attacks, even letting animals standing on them. In your picture this is beautifully shown: The bird just standing, like on a rock. But furthermore than "just showing" the character of the beast, it is also amazingly technically done: Amazing light, not too much edit, no blur...Congrats on your well deserved first place !
