This is a very different entry to all the other images submitted and one that grabbed my attention. There's something about the colours and composition I really enjoy. There's no information about the image which only adds to the mystery. The slow shutter speeds add to the energy and drama - excellent capture!
A carnival queen captured against a stark black background - the bright sunlight highlighting her colourful costume and face. It's quite an unusual shot in so much there's very little else in the way of visual clues as to where she is. The fast shutter speed has stopped the action in it's tracks - great shot!

Despite the contentious subject matter I really love the colours and composition of this image. The stopped down aperture has kept everything in sharp focus throughout, from foreground to background. The flashes of bight pink contrasting beautifully against the red, white and yellow background colours. Great work.
