January 2022

We are in an interesting point of 2022 where nods of the futurism trend during the 1960s is coming back through clothing and architecture. I admire the cropping detail with the contrast of a corner within a room full of curves. I would suggest adding more contrast for more depth in the background.

This is a mesmerising point to look at without knowing the direction of the architecture, your close frame offers us the details within the framework. I especially want to further my appreciation with your measurements with the opposing curvatures. Well done!

I want to commend this image due to its majestic colours. With the sweeping motion of the architecture, the lighting is subtle and creates warmth within the coolness of blues. It reminds me of the cinematic tones of a Wes Anderson film.

This is a beautiful image where tonally all the details compliment each other. A chandelier is usually a grand statement however, here with your framing and conflicting light flares have made it less so grand and more in flow with the additions to this church. A modern take on tradition.

This is an impressive amount of detail to record with the settings you have provided, well done! I noticed this image due to your edit of the frame, the dome from the inside is very much an illusion. Cleverly balanced! Keep it up!

You have measured the lighting here well with both ambient and artificial lanterns. With the slightly off-centre framing of the rooftop, it invites the eye to follow it down the arcade into the following street. This is a popular ceiling to photograph.

This is a creative way to capture all of Salisbury Cathedral, its vast ceiling is recognisable with the extension of the fish eye lens. I want to further commend your position as a photographer, being central to the image when setting up the lens. Great edit!

I admire the dramatics in this image, especially the cropping, allowing us to appreciate the detail provided by the original artist. The strong contrast in lighting brings theatrics overall, but subtly shows where this placement is within the environment. Very grand with beauty implications to the interior.

Glass ceilings have further meaning beyond its physical coverage and here, it's given you the photographer opportunity to light your towering subjects at great height. Usually, shooting at this angle, you're challenged with shadows that could block certain details which you have managed to save. A warm image with great temperature control, well done!

This image is very graphic in lineage and has interesting framing where in the foreground is off centre, however as your eye follows up the tower, the base above is central to the frame. Overall dramatic and has the choice of being a ceiling once underneath the tower.

This magnificent building has much to offer in framing, you have chosen multiple points for the viewer to concentrate on before moving on to the next point. I'm glad you have dulled the tones, as from this perspective it would be over powering for a landscape. Great shot!

I find neon lights play trickery to the naked eye, a single pipe of lit neon has a kitsch approach to any environment, however a group of them has major impact. It especially invokes this in photography, the ceiling offers this impression, inviting us to bask in the glow of red.

I appreciate you capturing this ceiling as a landscape, it adds cinematic value to the environment with its consistent colour tones. It's graphic and repetitive, yet each beam is different from the next as you move closer to the central point of the image. Great shot!
