Congratulations on this image! Looking up at this light, I'm instantly struck by its delicate floral resemblance. The photo shows the design of the light fixture as it radiates outward like soft petals in bloom, the illusion of a glowing flower suspended in midair. Set against a calm blue ceiling, it stands out even more like a flower against the sky.

Looking up at this light gives me a feeling of an industrial and mechanical beauty. The nice colour toning and contrast between the highlights and shadows gives it a metallic feel. Set against the ceiling, it feels more like a piece of sci-fi architecture than a traditional fixture.

This photo is beautiful example of how simplicity can speak volumes. The composition is very strong with the geometric grid lines and the vertical lamp standing out against them. The strong colours against the minimalist black and white building facade really make the image pop.

This photo is captured at the perfect time for the slash of sunlight to highlight the old weathered street lamp clinging to an equally aged, rendered wall. The surface of the wall tells its own story in textures, subtle imperfections that only age can create. But it’s the sunlight that elevates the scene — casting clean, diagonal shadows across the wall, cutting through the stillness with geometric contrast. The play of light and shadow transforms a simple scene into something quietly poetic.

The tight crop of this photo of the green glass chandelier shows a luminous sculpture that feels alive with energy. The exposure is great with highlights and shadows very well balanced and the black background really makes it pop! The vibrant green hue gives it a surreal, almost bioluminescent quality.

This black and white image captures a light fixture that is more than just functional — it’s atmospheric art. The monochrome palette amplifies the contrast between light and dark, turning the interplay into something cinematic — almost dreamlike. It’s a beautiful study in how form and shadow can transform a space, where the lamp isn’t just lighting the room, but redefining it.

This is a very unique way of showing the light fixtures. The photo transforms a vibrant display of hanging lanterns into a kaleidoscopic wonderland. Inside the orb, the lanterns multiply, shrink, and curve — like a miniature universe of floating lights contained within crystal. The human touch adds intimacy and scale, reminding us that beauty can be held — quite literally — in the palm of our hand.

This close-up of a glass chandelier captures a world of intricate detail and shimmering elegance. It draws you into the delicate facets and textures of the glass — each droplet, twist, and facet reflecting and refracting light like tiny prisms. Nice shallow depth of field focusses your eye of the centre crystal.

There’s a lovely contrast here — the cold stillness of the frost against the cheerful warmth of the lights, a moment of magic on a freezing morning. I like the macro, close up detail of the frost and the shallow depth of field creating a nice, dreamy image.

This was quite a unique and creative way of showing a street lamp. I really like the slow shutter speed used to capture the movement of the trees branches in contrast to the still, motionless street lamp on a windy night. The photo has nice cinematic colour tones.

Very clever and perfect timing to capture the sun setting perfectly behind (and inside) the glass lens of the street lamp. It has been exposed well with no burnout of the highlights and retaining details in the shadow areas. The sky has a lovely gradation of colours.

I like the tight, close up composition of this light fixture. The pink light spilling from within adds a dreamy, almost cinematic quality and bathes the frame in warmth and mystery. The purple background is a very nice contrast to the pink coming from the fixture.

This is a very strong, geometric image of a lamp. I really like the circular shapes created inside the light bulb and the lampshade. The colour palette of warm yellows and oranges contrast so nicely against the black background. It has nice composition, cropped in close enough to be a strong image but giving just enough space around it.

From the most elaborate, sparkling chandeliers, to simple, exposed light bulbs, light fittings are one of the final touches added to an interior design. They can be dominant, sculptural features, perfected most recently by Dale Chihuly with his colourful blown-glass sculptures, or they can stick more to their practical purpose of lighting a space.

This photo captures a mesmerising play between light and shadow, where the fixtures do more than illuminate — they perform. I like the shadows cast on the wall which have resemble fire. There’s a hypnotic quality to it, as if the wall itself is flickering with heat.

This photo feels like a scene pulled from a dream. Lamps hanging gently from the branches of trees in a quiet forest, transforming the natural setting into something magical and surreal. The soft glow from the lamps, casting warm pools of light that break through the natural darkness, as if the woods themselves are gently waking up.
