For me, this was a clear winner. In my brief, I mentioned both classic UK landscapes (of which St Mary's Lighthouse is clearly one) and for those done a little differently will catch my eye. While the conditions are a little gloomy, the vivid orange line through the rocks adds colour and complements the artificial lighting. You don't see many shots like this of this fabulous location.

In 4th place, it's this lovely shot of Godrevy Lighthouse in Cornwall. Taken at any other time of year, the lighting would still be stunning amongst the storm clouds but the spring carpet of flowers in the foreground offers nice colour contrast. A brilliant photo.

Another brilliant location in the UK which pretty much everyone would be able to recognise as the Forth Bridges. The opening of the new road bridge this year will change the landscape, and I look forward to seeing how photographers work the 3 bridges together to create a similar view. In this wonderful sunrise photo, the photographer has both composed and processed expertly to capture the great colours and mood without any heavy handedness.

While Stonehenge is a classic UK landmark, known to millions of people in both the UK and worldwide, it's actually quite hard to photograph in common landscape conditions of sunrise or sunset. Here the photographer has used a drone to get some height, and highlight the lovely three quarter backlight coming through the stones.

Again, this photo fits the brief of classic UK locations (of which The Shard has quickly become a modern classic) and done a little differently - the lesser known architecture to the left offers a nice balance to the recognisable Shard and there is some nice night city colours in the artificial lighting.

The United Kingdom is full of amazing locations which are photographed by those from both home and abroad. From the coastlines of Cornwall and Dorset to the mountains of the Lake District and Scotland, there is something for everyone and a classic location is never far away despite where you may live. What I'd like to see here is your takes on classic UK locations, especially those done a little differently to others. Those that stand out will do well my in judging.
