Colourful Wild Birds

A simple but just gorgeous image. The way the bird stands out in the blizzard is beautiful. These vivid colours contrasting with the cold infinite whiteness of winter act as a beacon of hope and survival through the rough season. Fantastic !

I absolutely love the symmetry of this picture. The reflection of both the pheasant and the flowers is beautiful. The pheasant also has a very nice charismatic posture and nice vivid colours. The only thing I might regret is that the background, to me, is maybe not enough separated from the subject. I see that this image was taken with 171mm with a 100-400. I believe that having taken a few steps back and shooting at 400mm would have enabled much more compression and therefore a more separated and blurry background. But apart from this, this image is gorgeous !

A brilliant picture ! I love everything about this : the motion, the colours, the exposure... I also really like how the bird flights towards the light and how the light reflects on its body. The droplets of water that surround the animal create a magical atmosphere. The contrasts are also on point. with a dark background allowing the subject to fully stand out. Great, great shot !

Outstanding ! Beautiful dynamic going here, the movement is so well captured. I love how the light shines on both pheasants as they battle. The simplicity and blurriness of the background helps us to totally and solely focus on the subjects. I might just slightly regret the fact that the left pheasant might be slightly out of focus (or is it ? its face maybe ?) but this is very subtile and also very hard to account for and do something about it in such a short time frame. Beautifully done !
