Congrats for getting in the top ten of my contest. I have to say this one moved about in my placings but I found I simply loved it and its exactly what I asked for in the brief and beautifully taken with just enough space around the cottage for the viewer to indulge themselves and keep looking at the image. I adore the little thatched fox on the roof and the cottage's walled garden. A true chocolate box image. Many thanks for entering this in my contest.
Congratulations on the winning image! Much care has been taken to get the perfect angle and the perfect light. I have visited this place myself but my visit was in bright blue sky so the effect was not as good as the image here. I love the warm glow of the sky and the gold colours pick out the yellow tones of the window and door frames. Even the gorse bush is a beautiful vibrant yellow blending in to make this an extremely pleasing view for the eye to roam. An absolute stunner of an image so many congrats for entering the contest and having the winning image.
Congrats on second place in my contest. It is indeed a picture postcard image. Very chocolate box and I find myself unable to take my eyes off it. Its a place I would love to go and see and that is what good photography is all about! If I'm being picky I would not have added the white vignette as the image would stand out even more without it. However its nicely composed and bang on brief. Many thanks for entering the contest.

For this contest I would like to see you best photos of cottages. The cottages can be thatched or with tiled roofs but the more chocolate-box looking, the better. All entries should be colour only images. The cottage could be in a landscape or the focus of the entire photograph but the cottage must be the focal point of the image. I look forward to your entries.
