I absolutely love this kids expression. You can see (and hear) his passion for the game. Well done spotting and focusing in on the three of them as I am sure there was lots going on in the rest of the crowd. It is really nice having three boys in the image instead of just one or two. The boy of the right who isn't shouting gives balance to the other two who are. A great shot. well done.

Great colours / colour grading in this image and it really makes me look at everything that is going on in the image. Good camera settings mean that everything is sharp and enough is in focus. I like how the man at the front with the red cap is staring at the camera, then my eye starts to wander around the image and I see the two men next to him are also looking at the camera which brings a connection between the viewer and the people.

Despite its simplicity there is so much going on in this image. Good choice making it black and white as I think if it were in colour then it would be too distracting as the eye would be drawn to different places, as it is my eye just flow freely around the image looking at the different expressions. I realise it is Wimbledon and not a football match but it might have been nice if at least one person was looking slightly more passionate however the mundane expressions does have a real charm to it.

This is a really emotive and sweet image. All three children are wide eyed as they watch the performance. Like you say they are totally absorbed in what they are watching and that really comes across in the image. I feel the image is a bit too over sharpened - possibly because you shot it with such a slow shutter speed (1/5th second) you got some camera movement. Your ISO is only on 1000 so maybe you could have increased the ISO so the shutter could have increased too. I will happily take my D850 to 3200 ISO...

Lovely movement - you can really feel the energy.
My eye is drawn straight to the man in the middle because of his black top so it is a little bit of a shame that he isn't doing something more striking but that is obviously out of your control!! When I take a picture like this at a wedding I will often ask that the wedding couple stay quite still in the middle of the dance floor. Perfect choice of shutter speed. Gives the perfect amount of movement so we can still see enough of the people and enough blur. This is somewhere I want to be with a rum and coke in my hand dancing the night away.

Nice exposure. I do like movement in an image and I think you have captured that really well. I also really like it when there is also someone static within all the movement so putting that person in the frame (I assume it is you?) really focuses the viewers attention and shows just how hectic the crossing is. Personally I might have tried a slightly slower shutter and had the static person further into the road so there is some blur in front of them to really make them part mass of people. A lovely shot, good composition and good choice on the camera settings.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Crowds provide interest on a macro and a micro level. It’s fascinating observing and shooting the mass of a crowd, the coming together of so many souls into one space, to watch, celebrate, cheer, demonstrate. Images can be packed with many stories and much energy. Closer-up, individuals in the crowd can provide a focus for observing crowd behaviour, and the intensity of emotions that often comes with being in a crowd and at the sort of places they converge.
