Crucifixes and Crosses

A dramatic pose of the fallen crucifix as if it's sinking into the grave, reaching for a helping hand. A lively story telling image with a funny twist in a sad and serious place. The composition is rather chaotic, balanced by the use of only two colors, which make for a pleasing image to look at.

This is a beautiful image of a monument with a big emotional value. It's raw and simple, typical for fishermen.The colors are nice and bright and the background makes the cross stand out very well. The low point of view works very well to put all focus on the subject. A very well composed image and a great find.

Here is one of the best examples of a leading line, a giant one leading the eye to the subject which is less defined but clearly the focus point. The clouds, surrounding the figure of Christ are a big contrast with the heavy mountain and it makes the scene look mysterious. This is one of the most epic photos I have seen of the Cristo Rei monument, well done.

Congratulations on winning my Challenge. You chose a beautiful point of view for this expressive crucifix. The sun with its bokeh and flares finishes the composition wonderfully. The sharpness of the whole image brings out the textures very well, an exciting and creative image.

This is a very well composed image, the theme is tripled in a wonderful way. The blacks and withes are beautifully managed, even the little hanging crucifix is highlighted and all is in a nice balance without burned out whites or blacks. Creative, dramatic and intriguing.
