Brief

Often voted one of the greatest inventions of all time, the bicycle remains a wondrous achievement that allows our clumsy bodies to power themselves along at speed for hour upon hour. So whether you’ve got a picture of Geraint Thomas conquering Alpe d’Huez, or one of your 80 year-old Gran taking her electric bike to the shops, let’s explore the world of cycling through our viewfinders.

Our Ranked Contests are a chance for the Photocrowd community to compete alongside other photographers of a similar leaderboard ranking to themselves. There are 3 with the same theme running at one time - for photographers ranked 1-250 (Black, Gold and Silver); photographers ranked 251-1000 (Bronze); and photographers ranked 1001+ (Green). They are crowd-rated only, and carry additional (1.5x) ranking points.

How it works

Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.

Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
