A late entry to my top ten, this was an image that kept drawing me back. Not unexpectedly, there were a lot of flower-themed diptychs entered in this contest, but this one stood out as being rather different, and beautifully creative. The arrangements and use of non-showy blooms is simple but effective. I was a little uncertain about the patchy appearance of the backdrop and unsure whether created by the lightbox or an added effect, but somehow it adds a little mood of mystery to the shots, rather than them being straight still life captures. Both separate images work in harmony together and the eye can explore the similarities and differences. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.
A super diptych image, both shots are strong photographic images, but presented together tell a story. The muted colouring acoss the entire image works really well, and both sides of the diptych have been processed in the same way with the same overall effect, which creates balance and harmony. I was initially uncertain whether the image may have been even stronger has the portrait image been on the right hand side, so the weaver in effect been looking into the image, but on reflection there is a mood reflected in the posture and facial expression of the man that somehow suit the fact that he is gazing out of the frame. Congratulations on your second place finish.
A beautifully simple but very effective abstract image. There is just the right balance of difference versus similarity between the two images, and both have been precisrly set-up, photographed and edited. The presentation of the images within the background border is superb, and demonstrates a strong aesthetic and eye for detail, which combine to create an elegant and impactful diptych. Well done on your top ten placing.
A great subject for a before-and-after style diptych, and a good example of how two separate photos can have a much stronger impact when presented together. Composition of both elrments has been well done, and I especially like the framing of the completed knitting, and realising that the entire garment did not need to be captured. Being picky, the exposure on the right image could possibly be lifted slightly to fully match the yarn balls and needles, but that is not an issue, and still a great diptych. Well done on your top ten placing.
A diptych formed by two pasta-themed abstract photos, both have been creatively imagined and set up and well caltured. Lighting is great, to highlight the form and textures of these pasta shells with their delicate ridges. What really sets the diptych apart from so many entries is the harmony and balance across the two separate shots, aided by the same processing style and the textured effect spanning the entire frame. Super image, well done on your top ten placing.

The initial draw to this image was the unusual but striking composition, with the subject on each edge of the frame. It may be unconventional, but for me however it works well, and invited me to explore further. Beautifully lit with some strong contrasts, the highlights on the skin are not over-done, but are bright enough to reveal the curves and details of the body and face and the muscle definition. I especially like the two different poses, similar enough to be in harmony, but different enough to be obvious this is not just a mirrored image. Individually either shot is a great portrait study, but presented together there is added strength. Congratulations on your third place finish.
There were a number of entries in this contest with one half of the diptych a 'straight' shot, and the other an abstracted version, but this one was my favourite. Each separate image is well executed, with a lovely colour range of pinks and purples. The white presentation frame compliments the images and keeps everything crisp and clean, with a precise layout, which really makes a diffrrence to the overall impact. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.

This contest is for your diptych images. A diptych is created by combining two individual photographs to present together in one image. The two individual photographs making up the diptych will often be separated by some type of border or frame, but please avoid just dividing one single photo by overlaying it with a two-piece frame. To create impact with your diptych, try to select photos which are in some way connected, such as different details of one object, similar subjects, colours or shapes etc. I look forward to seeing your entries.

A simple subject choice, but a strong diptych, a great example of the overall image being greater than the sum of its parts - each shot is good, but presented tovether the image is great. The contrast between the red and the denim blue is lovely, with the white spots on the neckerchief tying in with the white frame. The textiles have been very well captured, as we can see some lovely textural detail in the fabrics. The care that looks to have been taken with the precision of the composition and framing has really paid off. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.
