What attracted me to this image is the naturalness of the landscapes, well photographed but without any obvious heavy editing effects that can make so many landscape shots impactful, but rather surreal and far removed from reality. Here though I get a sense this is just what the eye would see if we had been lucky enough to be in these gorgeous surroundings. As a consequence, it is easier to imagine we are actually there breathing and smelling the autumn air, so the viewer can get a real sense of the freshness and beauty of the countryside. The diptych has been simply but effectively presented. Well done on your top ten placing.
Such a simple subject, but presented in this way as a diptych it becomes very impactful, probably working better together than each individual shot viewed alone. Lighting on both views is great, and by converting to black and white we can more easily focus on the shapes, patterns and textures without the distraction of colour. I love the composition, with the top of the onion on the left acting as a starting point for the sweeping curve of the mesh 'bag' on the right. Great image, well done on your top ten placing.
A lovely diptych of four attractive glass bottles presented in two different compositions. I love the way the images have been processed, with great colours and softened tones creating a lovely mood to the image. I especially like the contrast between the warmer tones on the left and cooler icy tones on the right. Congratulations on your second place finish.
Maybe not an obvious winner from the crowd perspective, but this image drew me in as soon as I saw it and it was always in contention for my top spot. The capture of the sunlight coming through the windows and falling on the walls is as much the subject as the physical elements in the interiors. What also works really well for this contest is that there is total harmony between the two individual images, both in similarity of the subject but also the colours and tones which each echo the other. I am a little undecided about the overall presentation of the diptych, with such deep borders top and bottom resulting in the individual photographs being quite small and not easy to appreciate unless viewed on a larger device. I appreciate that this is however a subjective decision and maybe contributes to the distinctive style. Congratulations on your winning image.

This image is one I like and appreciate more the more I look. There is so much for the eye to explore, and it is great that the presentation as a diptych guides the viewer to inspect one area of the barn a little more closely. Lighting is great, and the superb black and white conversion has bold contrasts and a wide range of tones, well handling what looks to be rather tricky lighting conditions. Full of detail and interest. Congratulations on your third place finish.

This contest is for your diptych images. A diptych is created by selecting two individual photos to present together in one image. The two individual photos making up the diptych will often be separated by some type of border or frame, but please avoid just dividing one single photo by overlaying it with a two-piece frame. To create impact with your diptych, try to select photos which are in some way connected, such as different details of one object, similar subjects, colours or shapes etc. I look forward to seeing your entries.
