This image may not turn out to be a crowd-pleaser in the contest rating, but as a diptych I think it is fantastic. Nothing showy with no over-processing or gimmicky effects, I love it for its simplicity and the naturalness of the scene. As a pair the images work well together, as they match in terms of subject, colours, lighting etc, with neither shot competing against the other for attention. The sign of a great diptych is an image that creates something that works better overall than as individual shots, and that is exactly what you have presented here. Congratulations on your third place finish.
This is an image I like more the longer I look. Capturing the same subject from different angles has created a pair of images that work together in harmony, as colouring and lighting etc are matching, which ensures the diptych works as a diptych, and is not just two photos randomly presented together. I love the tones and colours, with darker tones dominating aside from the pop of white. Fantastic image, well done on your top ten placing.
This image drew my attention as soon as I saw it, with its mundane subject matter and bright colours. The textures captured on the cellulose sponge are fantastic, and perfectly describe visually how the subject would feel to touch. The sponge scourers on the right have been neatly aligned to make a precise composition. The diptych has been well constructed too, with the narrow black key line around each image and a white boarder that is neither too broad or to narrow, setting off the subject. It goes to show that the simplest of subjects can create a great shot. Well done on your top ten placing.
A great diptych, working so well as a pair of images presented together, and very cleverly constructed. Whilst each individual shot is strong as a standalone image, the shapes, colours and subjects echo each other perfectly, coming together to create something that overall is greater than the sum of its parts, which is the mark of a superb diptych. Congratulations on your winning image.

What a fantastic abstract diptych, full of fascinating patterns and colours. I am glad you included in your image description what the subject is, as whilst not always required in abstract shots, I think knowing what has created this abstract helps. The diptych has been well assembled, and using black as the background works well as it enhances the richness of the colours. Congratulations on your second place finish.

This contest is for your diptych images. A diptych is created by combining two individual photographs to present together in one image. The two individual photographs making up the diptych will often be separated by some type of border or frame, but please avoid just dividing one single photo by overlaying it with a two-piece frame. To create impact with your diptych, try to select photos that are in some way connected, such as different details of one object, similar subjects, colours or shapes etc. I look forward to seeing your entries.
