This shot manages to be both dramatic and tranquil at the same time. There is a very theatrical aesthetic which works well with the delicate subject. Composition is well thought through and the frame is neatly divided into layers. It's a beautiful shot and an interesting take on the brief.

What this shot really lacks is a clear subject. Yes the distant storm is dramatic but there is very little else in the scene to look at or guid the viewer into the scene. Maybe finding a clearer view of the storm would have given opportunities to find a foreground subject.

We love the lighting here. The colour contrast is also splendid as is thee composition. There is a dreamy feel that makes the shot both dramatic and relaxing to look at. Well done! A well seen and executed shot. Bravo!

There is a tremendous amount of atmosphere in this shot. We love the lighting and how this draws us into the scene, along with the contrast of cool colours. It's a very moody shot and is perfectly composed to create a tunnel like view. You can almost feel the cool of the approaching storm. Well done!

We only got a few black and white images for this round which is a little surprising. This shot is a great example of where a lack of colour can really enhance drama. Excellent composition and lighting - an exciting and naturally dramatic shot.

Creative interpretations of a brief are always welcome but we need a little more context in this shot. There is not real subject and it would be nice to see a wider view of ice covered landscapes. Well spotted but not quite there.

We got many interpretations of the brief this issue but this one stood out. The green of the foreground contrasts wonderfully with the sky and the addition of the figure provides scale and interest. Without it the foreground would be empty so this was a sensible decision.

This is an unconventional shot - we love the choice of shallow depth-of-field and how this bare subject creates the feeling of desolation. The whole image looks like a still from an old biblical epic movie and demonstrates perfect depth and dimension. Congratulations.

The contrast between the colours of the foreground and the background clouds gives a lot of depth to this scene. The reds really stand out and make the approaching storm really 'pop'. There is a lack of clear subject but we have no doubt where we need to be looking. Well done.

This scene is very desolate and brooding. The colours are beautifully muted and the central composition is a good decision. It makes us want to find somewhere for a warm cup of coffee! A simple and effective scene with great energy.

There is a lot of brooding atmosphere in this image. The central framing is a bold choice but leads us directly into the frame and makes us want to see what is over the distance rise. The colour palette is disconcerting and there is almost a horror movie aspect to it. We definitely don't want to be caught on this road in a storm! Well seen and captured.

We think the colour in this shot is highly impactful and adds to the depth of the scene. It contrasts perfectly with the dark clouds in the background and adds a sense of direction. All of the structures are well placed. A beautiful scene!
