Early mornings

lovely shot.I love the way the clouds are moving up the mountain and the people silhouetted against the bright backdrop. You can visualize the excitement of people up there confronted by such a landscape.. Almost as if the clouds have gone below to the valley leaving you with such a grand sight.. The compositions is nice with the eye moving from the green foregound to the person on top and then towards the other people down below... The background is brightly lit. maybe toning the highlights would also bring out the contours of the clouds in valley below without sacrificing the overll composition..Wonder ihow B&W version would be like...lovely shot...congrats.

lovely shot. I like th way the two people on the dune are captured silhouetted against the beautiful horizon. The desolate landscape of the desert further adds to the whole atmosphere. Who are those two? somebody known to the photographer or two random tourists enjoying the sunrise..? nicely captured....

What a landscape shot! There were many beautiful landscapes with great lighting in the contest. However this stands out due to the unusual landscape,almost pockmarked with separate hills on a flat surface...The smoke from the house adds to the scene and gives an idea of the beginning of a new day....the colours of the sky are fantastic...great pic...congrats

glorious shot...the image has a great sense of depth.. there are three distinct layers starting with shrubs in foreground...and then the trees enveloped in fog with the tops jutting out, and then the plains deviod of trees meeting the horizon.. All sewn together with a distinct path running through.. The person on the path adds to the sublime touch...I just wish that the path had started from the right bottom and moved through it till left had upper corner to make it perfect... but a beautiful pic . You have chosen well to make it B&W... The whole scene is well composed, well balanced,had loads of mystery..It leaves you wondering ; why is the person walking through such a landscape , at this hour all alone...and is that something he is dragging behind him? I loved this shot...congratulations..

An unusual pic ...the fog rolling from the sea/lake and about to enevelop the right side of the frame. The eye follows the outline to the houses barely visible..the whole composition gives a sense of mystery . My mind was contemplating if this was black and white ...but then the brownish black colour adds to the whole scene..I love this..

What a beautiful shot! The workers silehoutted against the break of dawn and the mounds of salt giving a balance to the picture. The reflections in the water adding to the overall scene.... The pic contains a uniformity overall - triangles : the mounds , the hills and even the caps of the workers...and the posture of the workers with the sticks also comes out as a triangle! I can just envy the photographer for this shot..well taken!

loved the atmosphere in this shot..would have loved to see the coloured version. Though the b&w works well here bringing out the layers in the image. The ducks are the main subject here but are getting hidden in the background of trees. Probably had you waited a while and taken the shot it would have amplified the subject .Also would recommend to crop from right top and use rule of thirds to bring the focus to the ducks. a beautiful image nonetheless..giving a sense of mystery and calm at the same time.

i loved the overall atmosphere in this shot with the mist in the background lit with the light of rising sun and the sheep in the foreground apparently returning to the village visible in the fog. Would have loved to see more of the foreground though. I would suggest to crop the top and use rule of thirds to further enhance composition.. a great image ...congrats

An interesting composition..the light falling over the smoke adds mystery to the whole scene..the shadows of the trees and people further contributing ....the pic tells a story : where is the boy going , is that his mother in the shadows..apparently the smoke is from the fire lit for morning chores . However the buckets in the foreground and the blue colour are a bit distracting and it would be wise to crop them out? Also it would be interesting to see this pic in black and white...

nice atmosphere, nice light ..everything works in this pic with the geese flying right across the frame. You can almost hear their voice as they fly away into the mist.. I would suggest three things: first for a moving subject it works well to have more space in the direction of the movement. In this pic it would be wise to crop it from right to make it clearer that the movement is from right to left. secondly since the shutter speed used was less and due to fog the ducks are not that crystal sharp. You can make them darker to silhouette them against a fantastic background. thirdly i would suggest to use rule of thirds and crop it slightly from bottom also...nice pic with lovely atmosphere..
