I liked the pure concentration that was shown in this image and applaud your decision to present this. In monochrome as the colours of the “ink work” on the tattoo artist’s arm may well have been a distraction. There is a bright spot near her right wrist which could be darkened slightly. Great choice of image and a fascinating insight into her work.
This has certainly captured the team work of the time line events reenactors at Weeting.. you have managed to show the stages of work with the saw mill and it is certainly an image to be proud of. The large metal sheet is a slight eye catcher and if possible could it be darkened down slightly to improve the overall effect. Congratulations
This image conveys the concentration required to undertake the painting of the fine details, you have managed to capture the details and control the exposure in what could be a very challenging situation. There is even the fine details of whisks of hair which shows it’s real person at work. Well done.
Having been to Venice and seen the craftsmanship of these workers I can appreciate the care that you put in in both composing the Image as well working with the light that was available. There is a large dynamic range and you have compensated well for this with details in the darker ares of the face not being lost.
