Everyday Objects

I have seen many cityscape, table top images but this has to be the best, and one I have gone back to look at many times. I can see and appreciate the work that has gone into the set-up to create a fantastic looking image. Everything is right, the composition with reflection, the background colour and the perfect framing. A well deserved top10 place. Congratulations!

This image stood out when I was judging the images entered. It is subtle, fairly simple, but beautiful. The touch of colour from the flower is perfect to balance out the image. The DOF for the cups in the background is just right, you can see what they are but allows the main focus to be the elegant teapot. Everything is right and it all works in harmony, an excellent image! Congratulations on 1st position in my competition!

This is a stand out image, it grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I had to keep coming back to look at it. I love the textures and colour palette, it brings an amazing atmosphere to this image. The items in the cupboard are obscured by the frosted glass but can still be clearly identified and works with the theme of 'everyday objects'. I note that a vintage lens has been used, showing that you don't always need the latest gear to produce a beautiful image. This is a fantastic image, well done! A worthy Top 10 image in my competition.

This is definitely eye catching! The technical skill to put this together so well is to be applauded.

It is not just the technical aspects that I admire though, the composition is great as is the colours used and the framing. Every item in the frame works so well. A clever and visually exciting image. It fits the brief perfectly and is a a worthy Top 10 image. Well done!

I have to admit, on the love it or hate it view on marmite I'm definitely in the 'love it' camp as I am with images that make me smile and this certainly did! Other than the humour, it has a lot going for it. I love the reflection and placement on the frame. The focus and lighting are spot on. The inclusion of the knife ties in nicely with the 'everyday objects' theme. Right, enough of the review I need some marmite on toast now! Congratulations on being in my top 10! Well done.
