Weathered and abandoned, the house is gradually being reclaiming by nature. The elements of its slow destruction are all present; falling snow, a windswept, frozen field and the heavy storm clouds. A couple of clearing, warm windows in the sky bring a false hope to the bleak landscape. Excellent capture and composition!
I don’t know how much, if any, preplanning went into this image. It could have been purely the good fortune of a brief moment but I wouldn’t be surprised if the photographer was cold and snow covered, waiting for the right subject to appear at just the proper position. I like the stark black & white with the inverted T of the grays. The photograph has a lot of visual impact. Nicely done!
Crazy photographer and friends! Anything for the shot! You don’t really need ALL your fingers and toes, do you? Or the young lady’s ears? A good shot representing we intrepid photographers, out doing what we love. And having a frozen, good time with friends. Good bridge shot with other demented pedestrians.
Such a wonderful composition with leading lines of ornate street lamps and trees coupled with the overhead branches that create a perfect framing. The depth of field is shallow, focusing in on the woman with the umbrella. Most of the image is soft and with the tree branches and lamps that would bother me on a clear day but perfectly fits the visual blur of the heavy winter snow. Monochrome was a good choice as the scene was largely colorless. Outstanding image!

I would like to see you best photos of falling snow. Photographs can show any setting but it must be obvious that snow is actually falling at the time the image was taken. Monochrome or colour photographs are acceptable.
