This is a unique interpretation of Singapore's Supertree Grove. The photographer has created a saturated vortex that feels futuristic and inter-dimensional. The image fuses abstract multiple exposures to create imagery that is reminiscent of scenes from outer space and science fiction. The subtle hints of nature in the textures of leaves and branches (which happen to appear in the sunrise-like yellow orb in the bottom right) retain a feeling of being connected and grounded to Mother Nature at a time of seismic technological development.
A timeless image that is wonderfully composed like a painting. The striking choice of black and white draws the viewers eye immediately to the central subject. The mist creates a calmness which is intersected with a shard of dark clouds to create the illusion that the subject is sailing through the sky. The photographer provides mild 'anchors', but nothing reveals the full context of the photo. This result is the feeling of trying to remember a mysterious dream from a fleeting, blurry memory.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** If you’ve ever found yourself standing in front of the Taj Mahal; looking up the Champs Elysees at the Arc de Triomphe; or looking out across the Grand Canyon, you may have had a strong sense of deja vu. More than ever before, the combination of cheap travel, ubiquitous digital cameras, and the internet has meant that we’ve seen these views and many more hundreds or thousands of time before we’ve ever visited them ourselves. You may have stood in the most obvious and used spot for shooting from, or you may have found an unfamiliar viewpoint.
