I really liked this entry of a sweet portrait of a sleeping piglet. The photographer has managed to capture the peace and tranquility of the main subject in this image. Gently lit with warm tones a worthy winner in my opinion. Well done.

The bold bright colours of the flowers, sky and tractor and high saturation made this entry stand out for me. I really liked the originality of this entry and the use of the horizontal to drawn the eye of the viewer. A good entry.

I really like how the photographer has isolated the sheep against the desaturated background. I think that the vignette draws and use exposure draws the eye of the viewer to the sheep and sets a dramatic mood for the photo. A good entry.

I really liked the photographers use of depth of field placing the foreground have bale in crisp focus whilst softly layering the landscape with distant bales. The editing feels natural and relevant to the theme of farming. A lovely photo.

I really like the energy portrayed in this photo. The photographer has captured the horses charging through the water is with a high shutter speed retaining details whilst creating a scene that feels both powerful and cinematic. The soft tone of the light balances the image.

I was drawn to this image because of the atmosphere created by the golden light and texture of the dust. I think that this is strong composition and the atmospheric lighting creates depth while subtle editing by the photographer preserve the authenticity of the moment. A good entry.

I liked this striking wide angle farming scene. This enables the photographer to capture the dramatic cloud formation behind the combine harvester which adds depth. The image is relevant to the theme and is mpressive scale, energy and the enhanced colour and detail provide visual impact. A good entry.

I was drawn to the bold simplicity of this entry. The bright golden yellow field of wheat sliced up by the trails of farming machinery bring interest to the eye of the viewer. The aerial image reveals an angle that would normally not be accessible. An interesting entry.

I really liked this image from within a field of wheat. The photographer has captured the warm tones and details of wheat. I think that it was the correct decision by the photographer to present the image in portrait rather than horizontal. A good entry.

I really liked this beautiful intimate farming moment. The photographers composition is thoughtful and strong. I like the use of the soft lighting which shapes both the farmers and new born lambs faces. This image conveys the care and connection of the farmer. Well done.

I really liked the close up of a drying corn ear which I think shows that the photographer has a strong sense of composition. The warm lighting enhances details whilst the shallow depth of field isolates the subject nicely. A really good entry for this theme.

I really liked the use of the 'frame within a frame' used by this photographer in this image. I think that this image is a creative and unique interpretation of the theme. With a subtle use of detail and texture. An interesting entry.

I was drawn to this image as I like the photographers choice to reduce the saturation drawing out the autumnal hue and their clever crop to include the tractor wheel. This original use of composition featuring part of the tractor is effective to capture the sharpness of the plough and the texture of the field.

Across the world it ranges from subsistence farming on small areas of land, to vast monoculture farms with the latest technology and science applied. There is an increasing focus now on how we farm, as we seek to feed the world whilst paying attention to its environmental impact. Not included in the scope of this contest are wind farms, or other entities given the name ‘farm’ that aren’t agricultural in nature.

I was drawn to this image due the composition and use of negative space use by the photographer in this entry. This helps to make the subject stand out and prevents the image from looking too busy. The sepia tone in the edit is subtle and effective. A good entry.

I really liked the framing of the subjects in this entry. The use of light and shadow draws focus to the main subject in the forefront whilst balancing the secondary pig in the shadow behind. A well composed photograph and edit.
