Feathers

I really like this image. The way that the feathers of the wings and the tail are presented that they draw you into the subject to see the smaller feathers on the body is pleasing. I like the way that the BG is clear and the lighting looks good. Well done on a great image and well done on First Place :-)

The blue of the eye is complimented by the blue of the BG in this shot, which is very pleasing. I like the way that the BG is darker and makes the white feathers pop in this shot. Well done on not blowing out the whites in this image. It is so easy to end up with a white blob and no details. Well done :-)

I like the way that you have made the BG of this image black. It does make the bird and feathers stand out, but I would like to see the green BG as well. Would be an interesting comparison. Feathers are striking and the way that you have pushed the yellow in the eye makes it stand out, but not to the point that it is false. Well done. Great shot :-)

We had a lot of Peacock feathers in this competition and I did not actually realise how beautiful they actually are. The colours that you have got here are beautiful and rich. They have an amazing warm glow about them, which I absolutely love. The angle that you have shot this at and the use of the f/2 aperture is very pleasing. Details and focus looks spot on. Well done on making the top 10 :-)

What a great sight to see. Love the backlight and the way that the feathers in the shot stand out. This is further more complimented by the poses of the bird and I like the way that you have captured the water droplets from take off. I see that this was taken at The Cotswold Wildlife Park, which I myself love to take the family. I will have to make sure that I look out for this Peacock. Good lighting and nice sharp focus.
