What a great idea. Not everything has to be on a grand scale, which is what one thinks of when the subject of fireworks comes to mind.
I appreciate a photographer who thinks outside of the box or bulb in this case.
Great idea, wonderful execution, and a lovely colour palette too. It is also pin sharp too which is essential if these kinds of images are to work. colour. A big well done to the photographer indeed.
An instant grabber is what I call these kinds of images. Something a little different with the inclusion of the nicely lit tree on the far left.
Great colours in the sky help to lift this image while the exposure is wonderful. I particularly love the rocket in the middle of the frame that is in contact with the ground. A lovely image indeed.
Dynamism is why I have placed this as the winning image. It has interest, colour, drama, and of course the human factor too.
I particularly love the inclusion of the white light that is positioned just offset from the performer.
The exposure of the lighting is spot on too. Overall, an excellent image worthy of the win. Congratulations to the photographer.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Fireworks can make for amazing photography, and are a great way to use shutter speed creatively. Done well, images of fireworks convey the excitement and wonder of the fireworks display, whether it’s a small box that you let off in your own backyard, or a huge public display that takes your breath away.
