Floral Portraits

This image is so simple, yet so beautiful. First of all, I love the vibrancy of the red flowers throughout the image. It gives the image an overall warmer tone, and compliments the colour of the subject's hair perfectly. Composition wise, I love the position of the model within the image, and I really like the way the lower half of her body is hidden by the flowers. By using a shallow depth of field, you've created some beautiful bokeh in the foreground and background, with the model in sharp focus. The softness of the photo works really well with the younger model, and I really like the way you have her looking straight into the lens. The use of the flowers in the foreground creates a really nice blue of colour and adds a really unique element to the image. This image captures the brief perfectly, well done!

The image itself is very soft, and the pastel colours and natural lighting really compliment this. The soft curls and natural makeup the model is wearing also compliment the tone of the image. Composition wise, I really like the way you have the m model in the centre of the image, and I love the way you have her turned to the side and looking back towards the camera. This creates a really nice angle, and really flatters the model's face. The way you have the flowers in a sort of wall behind the model creates a stunning background and fits the brief perfectly. This image is very different from others entered into this competition, and I love it. You've created a very editorial photo. I love the vibrancy of the yellow flower, and the way the eye makeup matches it. By having the flower covering one eye, and petals underneath the other, you've captured a really balanced and well thought out image. Composition wise, I love the angle of the model's face to the camera, and the way she's looking down and away from the camera. The lighting in this image is very soft and natural looking, creating a glow on the model's skin. Overall, I love the uniqueness of this image and it fits the brief perfectly. A massive well done!
