I love this photo, the lines and the shapes. But I feel that it's been overworked and been cropped too much. I have a theory in that the less I have to do to a photo the better the shot I have taken. I think this photo has been made too dark, as I can only just see the people over the bridge which is such a lovely element to this photograph. I love the photo but would be really interested to see what the raw photo looks like.
This image drew me in as it looked like fire, exciting and interesting. The composition is intriguing, but the technical elements let this photo down. The image doesnt look sharp, and seems to be a little bit over contrasted, which leaves me wondering if it really was that orange that morning? Its a shame when a photo has been a bit over saturated in my opinion. It's so nearly a wonderful photo, so next time just take a tripod if it's dark and take time to make sure it's in focus.
I nearly picked this photo for an award as it's wonderfully composed. The Forth Rail Bridge disappearing into the fog, the lines captured and the soft long exposure of the water. The only thing that made me think twice was the post processing, and I realise it's entirely subjective, but I feel that it's been overworked. The colours are not quite real, and it's been pushed too far for my taste. It looks more like digital art in my opinion, not photography. It's so nearly brilliant! So, well done.
I LOVE this photo, and it's most unusual for me to choose a portrait photograph, but everything about this photo is perfect. The light, the fog, the horses; it all comes together to make this photo so strong. It looks like a classic 'right time right place' photo, as I know you can't make animals pose! I think the ears on the middle horse make it what it is giving the shot such character, the sun streaming through past the horses. I wish I had taken this photo! Congratulations on such a stunning capture and winning the number one spot!
I want to know more about this photo. Who is this person? Where are they going? What are they carrying? In case you hadn't guessed I love photos with people in them. The photo would have been interesting with just that awesome tree and the quirky fence, but the added element of the person carrying their load makes it brilliant, enigmatic almost. I'm not too sure what post-production has gone into this image, and would love to find out but I think it's a stunning photo none the less.

This is another photo I want on my wall! It is stunning. Without the swan it would not be that interesting a photograph. But with the swan so gracefully surrounded by endless fog it's just so tranquil and peaceful. The swan would be nothing without the trees also, giving the photo some context so you can really see what's going on even though you can't see the water. It is almost like the swan was posing for the photo! Well done.

This is a lovely photo. The fog combined with the tall spindly pine trees, and the steep banks on either side frame the fisherman perfectly. It makes you want to be there, fishing on that peaceful morning. Its composition is perfect, allowing the person to be framed by the landscape. The colour palate of the photo is great too, as it would be easy to do too much post processing on a photo like this, but it's soft and lovely.

Fog, mist and cloud can be elusive forces, difficult to capture in an image, but they also have a unique and mutable character - sometimes sinister, sometimes mysterious, sometimes gentle and protective. They can obscure, enhance, or totally change features in both the built and natural environment, lending mood and drama to a scene. This photo is cool, and I wish I was one of the two people in this shot, over looking that incredible building. I love the composition - how they are in the gap in-between the grassy banks, framed under the Tahj Mahal. I can almost smell India and feel the stifling heat of the sun rising. The silhouetted figures are peaceful, perfectly placed, maybe walking to their bikes? I also like the added element of the bikes awaiting their riders. Well done on this awesome photo.
I think this photo is stunning. The light coming through the trees is just amazing! I also love the fact that it's got a person in it too. The only reason that I didn't give it an award is that I felt like something is not quite right. I think it's the central position of the person, combined with the colours being a bit too oversaturated for my personal taste. But it's all so subjective and this is just my personal opinion.
This photo is beautiful and gets my second place spot. It creates a great sense of emotion, leaving the viewer longing to know more. I want to know what this person is doing on this lonely road... where are they going? A photo that leaves you asking questions is a winner in my book. The fog and the street lights come together to make it feel like something out of a Film Noir movie, is there an axe murderer waiting round the corner? Congratulations on this great cinematic photo.
I love this image for the colour - if it wasn't for the two geese in the front with their rich brown feathers the image wouldn't have been so strong. It gives me a sense of peaceful tranquility, and I can almost hear the noise of the birds. Having an image create a sense of emotion and being is key to me, a longing to be there in that moment, which this photo does. Well done for capturing this moment, thank you.
There is something about this photo that makes me want to print it, big. Its soft colours and the mystery that surrounds the eery morning (if it was a morning?) makes me want to know more. The composition is perfect, timing the boat going under the red bridge to perfection. I think its the colour of the image that made it a top 10 for me. I think it would make a wicked print. Congratulations on this photo, it's stunning.
I want to be in this photo... and that's one of the factors that I look for in great photography, a longing to be there in that time doing that thing. I can almost hear their paddle strokes as they kayak down this river. It's soft and inviting, peaceful and tranquil. The POV, having taken it from another kayak means I feel like it's me in the boat. It's a soft, peaceful and enchanting photograph. Well done for capturing this moment so beautifully.
