**Open to photographers with a gold or silver ranking. There are two other 'Food and drink' contests currently open to other ranks. Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** The idea that you need super flashy equipment to take good photos of food and drink is a myth... all you really need is whatever you’ve got, because it’s how you apply it that counts. Try to get your composition in place in advance so that you can concentrate on the food when it's ready to photograph. You don’t want to be worrying about the smaller details when the dish (or drink) is laid out and ready to be photographed!
