A simple subject but a great image. Although the chairs and tables are orderly, from this point of view they appear quite scattered and randomly placed, which contrasts well with the tidy stripes on the wall. The colour combinations are lovely, with the greys and aqua having a gentle calming feel. Technically well executed with no gimicky effects or over processing etc. Congratulations on your second place finish.
This image was a late entry to my top ten, but one I kept coming back to. I love the mood created by your capture of the warm golden low sunlight, which picks out the legs of the furniture to ensure it is a key focus of the image. Well composed and framed, giving a good feel of the overall setting, making it look a very inviting place to sit and spend some time. Lovely image, well done on your top ten placing.
I love this image, and the strong shapes and contrasts help put it in top spot. I am still undecided whether the negative space adds to the image or not, but it does at least make it unusual and gives a point of difference. Everything is crisp and clean, with the subject being recognisable but abstract at the same time. The simple blues against the white also add to the appeal of the shot. Congratulations on your winning image.
I am not usually a fan of selective colour images, as in the main they can seem rather clichรฉd. Here however the effect works well, especially as it is likely there would have been little colour in the backdrop anyway. Whilst the chair is obviously the main subject, I like that it has not been too closely cropped, and we see a sufficient amount of the surroundings to give context and further interest to the shot. Being picky, there may be a pinkish colour cast on the walls and doors which I would probably try to remove. Well done on your top ten placing.
There were many images entered in this contest which were more interiors which just happened to have furniture in them, which were not close enough to the brief to be awarded. Here however, although a slightly wider view of the room which gives context, the focus is firmly on the furniture. There is a lovely cosy feel to the image, and everything looks to have been kept quite natural, with no harsh over-processing etc. Lovely contrast of colours between the walls and the bed covering add to the appeal of the shot. Well done on your top ten placing.
A beautiful and stylish interior shot, through careful composition and clever staging you have managed to avoid the woman being the dominant focus of the image, and keeps the focus still very much on the furniture, but in a natural way. Technically well executed with regard to focus, composition and balance of lighting etc. The limited colour palette creates a lovely mood to the shot, balancing the luxury with the comfort. Great image, well done on your top ten placing.

A lovely gentle image, the composition simple but effective. Photographing an all white scene is not easy, getting the balance of light to avoid shadows and highlights being too harsh, whilst still retaining a sense of depth and form. Colour balance is also spot-on, as there is no colour cast, and enough touches of pale brown in the wood to add interest. Being picky, in my view the image is marred somewhat by the white stripe and digital signature across the bottom, which seems an unnecessary distraction when the overall effect of the shot would seem to be elegant simplicity. Still a great image, well done on your top ten placing.

A well seen high contrast image, creating strong impact through conversion to black and white. This is just the sort of subject which most do not even notice, but a keen photographic eye has realised the potential of the interaction between strong light and simple metal furniture. Composition and framing works well, with the furniture and shadows held within the frame, and the lines on the ground running at a pleasing angle. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.
At first glance this is a simple image of a desk and chair back, but the more time taken to explore, there is plenty to hold the interest. What works especially well is the contrasts between the black lines of the chair, desk legs and picture frame, and the light tones of the rest of the scene. Everything is well lit and in sharp focus, and the avoidance of deep shadows brings a lovely light airiness to the images. The little pop of green from the plant adds a lovely touch of colour. Congratulations on your third place finish.
