The spatial arrangement of the tables in this image is mesmerising. Especially as their placement is so perfect. Yet each is slightly different in the pleats of the table cloths. The chairs giving an amazing progression upwards almost flowerlike. And the soft change of tone of the grass accentuating all this. The balance of order vs chaos here is perfect. The order draws you in and the subtle differences maintain your interest. Not to mention the waiter who's also perfectly placed, geometrically and compositionally. Needless to say this is a fantastic image. congratulations and great work!
This was an exceptionally imaginative way to interpret the theme. I love the black and white that allows us to concentrate on all the texture in the seats. The composition showing just enough to let our imaginations drift along different narrative paths rather than one rigid one, making for a richer image. Really lovely work, well done!
This has a real sense of age. We are left to wonder about who's room it was and how long ago. The soft lighting adding an etherial quality, accentuating the textures throughout the picture. The focus just so, drawing the viewer to the fabric on the bed but allowing enough detail behind to give a great depth. A lovely image here with a real narrative.
I really liked the symmetry in this image. And it's very technically proficient. The lighting is very clean and even. Metal can be hard to photograph and it's been dealt with well here. The only issue I have is the wheels. Because this a composition all about being clean, perfect and symmetrical they let it down. It's a shame as the rest really is perfect. However this would be an easy fix and you've really nailed the hard parts about producing an image like this.
What makes this image so interesting is the way the soft focus invited the viewer to concentrate on the marks and so perhaps who may have made them. The way it contains nothing but a piece of furniture but through composition and focus it becomes secondary and just a visual tool for us to create our own narrative. Such a lovely image with real depth here.
