Graphical Composition (no sunsets or sunrises)

This is a superb example of a graphic image. A strong image, using geometrical shapes, void space as part of the design. It's attractively quirky, bending the accepted rules of composition. The incongruity between the predominant squares and the arc of the lamppost is striking. Also there are just two colours (not including black), which complement each other. A worthy winner, and thank you so much for entering it in my Graphical Compositions contest.

Squares (and rectangles) arranged in the form of a cross provide us with a striking photo, and thank you for entering it into my Graphical Compositions contest. The combined use of monochrome in varying tones and perfect symmetry, together emphasize the graphic impact. Also, every element lines up perfectly with the frame and I love it. Well done.

Deep blue rectangles and subdued calming colours, complemented by soft diagonal lines running from top to bottom - or bottom to top - plus subtlety of the shadows, make this an outstanding graphic image. I congratulate the author on his/her ability to "see" such potential in a scene. It is deservedly in the top ten photos in my Graphical Compositions contest and thank you so much for giving us the benefit of viewing it.
