Great Blue Herons (in colour)

Thanks for entering this contest. One of the things I enjoy about bird photography is being able to share with the viewer the amazing beauty they have close up. The Great Blue is amazing and not many people can see them in such detail. The soft feathers on his face, that massive bill and intense hunting eye. Great capture of the many details of this bird.

The details in this image are marvelous and the expression on the heron's face is just icing on the cake. Well done !
