I find this image to be fascinating! I chose it as the winner because of all the images submitted, this is the one I will remember long after the contest is over. I see the green as ribbons of tears, and I love images that invite you to write your own story. From concept to the final result, this photo is brilliant.

This is a very unusual photograph. I really like the lighting, and the way a new shade of green is created where the bottles overlap looks great. The two extra bottles on the right are unexpected and create a very interesting composition.

I really like the point of view in this photo, and it's well lit. What kept it from being a winning image was the lack of focus in the center of the Sunflower. When you place the center of a subject in the center of the frame, especially with a square crop, the center needs to be sharp.

I chose this photo because of it's striking graphic appearance and use of line. The leaf skeletons are tack sharp, and I found all of those tiny lines to be fascinating, I love the overlap and the areas of imperfection in the leaves as well.

***This contest is open to subscribers (members on the Challenger, Pro and Master subscription tiers). However if you're not a paying subscriber you can still purchase entries for £2 (GBP) per image.*** Green is a strong primary colour that resurfaces time and time again in both the natural and manmade worlds. Thanks to environmentalism and the continued focus on preserving our forests and natural spaces, 'green' today is often powerfully associated with a movement and a way of living; but let's not forget the power, interest and visual appeal it holds in other areas and contexts, too. Surprise us with your own interpretation of 'green'.
