Harbours Around the United Kingdom.

Congratulations on being my Winning image! The second I clapped eyes on this I knew it was the winner, it has so much appeal with the gorgeous dark menacing clouds of the impending storm. Just the kind of weather you'd expect to see in a little harbour like this, and it could be a scene straight out of Poldark. Everything in focus from front to back. I think it's exquisite, thank you for entering my contest.

I kept coming back to this one trying to figure out what it was that drew me back for another look. In photography three is the magic number! The three main boats are the same colours in slight variations and the reflections of these boats is simply stunning! The harbour wall leads you into the image from the right and wraps itself around these three central boats. It all really fits together beautifully. Many thanks for entering my contest.

I have seen quite a lot of images of this view of Whitby Harbour. It's been a difficult choice but I think the suns evening rays add to this one and the wide angle of view because you get to see so much, you get the full monty of sea, harbour, houses and boats with the sunset to boot.
