Hiking Trails in Natural Settings

This is a beautiful image. There is so much to look at here with the lake, mountains, and the horses grazing on the lush green grass.

The track did not stand out to me at first but when I registered it I found myself drawn into the scene and the desire to walk here overwhelmed me.

The composition is great and the horses are perfectly spaced across the foreground and midground.

I love this image. The scenery is amazing and the colours and exposure are superb.

The hiking track, with a couple of hikers strategically placed along it as it winds across the frame, is very leading for the eye.

There are lots of details to absorb and even the clouds are picturesque.

This is what hiking in the Dolomites looks like in my dreams.

This is such a lovely scene and a great photograph.

The road or track leads my eye to the building and then to the fascinating chalk cliffs behind. The warm lighting and vivid colours are very enticing.

If I were post-editing this shot I would be tempted to reduce the saturation a touch and possibly crop a bit of the sky and or foreground. This might bring more focus to where the interest in the photo lies and reduce the negative space at the top of the frame.

Wow! I really love the dark, dramatic mood created in this image.

The hiking track in the foreground really stands out and leads my eye into the shot. The dark shadows combined with the subtle lighting and the high level of detail make the image very immersive.

I find this to be a very original and powerful take on mountain hiking photography.

The high point of view over the track with the hiker heading up into the frame works very effectively to provide a sense of scale and to invite the viewer into the scene. The exposure and luminosity balance are superb and the gentle lighting is lovely.

I really love the fact that there is a single hiker on this track. It adds to the sense of isolation and adventure. The blue jacket makes them stand out against the snow effectively.

The use of the longer lens has foreshortened the scene and brought the wonderful details of the mountains and clouds up close to the hiker. The level of detail is amazing and I find myself looking deeply into the scene and then back again to take it all in repeatedly.

The red jacket on the hiker makes them stand out and their position in the frame leads the eye into the scene beautifully. The photo invokes a strong feeling of adventure.

Sometimes the old adage of "less is more" really applies to photography and I think this is a classic case. The sand dunes and two pairs of hikers command the viewer's full attention.

The lighting is soft and subtle. The dual points of focus are connected and well-placed in the frame.

I want to walk along with these people.
