i LOVE THIS! Amazing capture that was so so close to winning as well, in fact only missing out on a top three finish as it was a drone shot - loved it! Great composition, tones and subject.

I wanted a "range" of photography subjects in the top ten - not just landscape images so well done on a top ten finish - difficult considering we had nearly 3000 images to choose from!

I wish you well in the future, James.

I LOVED THIS IMAGE! The tones, the fact it was different to most other entries and also that it hit my architecture chords. Very nice.

Everybody loves placing people in the frames of photos now, but it is not always easy to capture - I know this myself, and it is certainly never easy to edit and get balanced tones - but here, you nailed it!! Well done.

I wanted a "range" of photography subjects in the top ten - not just landscape images - and placing a person in this image hit that chord for me.

So that just leaves me to say - well done on WINNING the Benro Geared head and becoming the "Horizon" champion - difficult considering we had nearly 3000 images to choose from!

Please consider tagging @BenroUK on your images on Instagram once you receive your new tripod head, also please drop me a note on Instagram in the future i'd love to see more of your work!

I wish you well in the future and good luck, James (Benro Pro Partner). www.jameskerwin.uk

In this competition you will need to demonstrate your passion for precision. From sunrise to sunset, urban to rural, horizons can look completely different, but one factor should always stay constant – a level horizon. To win this competition you should aim to wow us with your beautiful horizons. Any landscape at any time of day. Good Luck!

This image was the most unique entry, and for that alone I thank you for saving my eyes from many repeat shots and stepping outside of the "horizon" box.

I wish you well in the future, James.

Lovely tones, very Karl Holtby I would suggest. Love the simplicity as well - and as for Perth - I am jealous, loved my time in Australia back in 2010 and 2013.

I wish you well in the future, James.

This was a great shot, and local to me as well - so pulled on my Norfolk Heartstrings. Great composition - one of only two really good ones on that same beach in my mind.

I wish you well in the future, James.

I literally loved Iceland on my three visits over the last three years. Great colours here - and a nice pleasing composition.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to the land of fire and ice?

I wish you well in the future, James.

A place on my "travel" list - superb location and image, missing out on the top ten only due to the high number of people taking part. Lovely processing and I wish you well in the future as well. Thanks, James.

A lovely shot, spot and super use of a leading line into the frame. Only missing out on the top ten due to the quality of work that was entered and that I wanted a "range" of photography subjects in the top ten - not just landscape images.

I wish you well in the future, James.

Great that you want out and captured a rage of compositions to enter into this competition - brilliant effort - it really was!

I wanted a "range" of photography subjects in the top ten - but well done on getting a commended shot - difficult considering we had nearly 3000 images to choose from!

I am really confused about this and a few other entries - the competition asked for "straight" horizons. I beg you to read the rules in the future.

Of course I could have picked many images to say this on - so please do not feel I have picked you out.

Not to say this is not a great image, it really is and I love the use of colour.
