Sometimes, it's not always necessary to show a person's face in order to exhibit human beauty. The hands are just as telling when it comes to capturing an iconic image.
Apart from other images, the beauty in this photo is not portrayed by the subject's physical appearance. Rather, it's displayed in the person's actions.
The detailed lines and wrinkles of the hands and face surrounding the focal point of the image brings the viewers attention to the strongest element of human beauty; one's faith.
It's difficult for us at times to put aside our obsession over lighting and camera settings when it comes to taking a good picture. Worrying over the smallest details allows subtle moments such as this to escape. But it's when we focus on the most important details of humanity that true beauty is revealed.
Whether it is the divine, spirituality, one another, or ourselves, it's our eye for beauty that makes us human.

Of all the many and various kinds of beauty that exist, human beauty is one of the most compelling for the photographer. More than simple symmetry – the human form is a stage for emotions and experiences that create an atmosphere entirely unique to the individual. This is much more than a just portraiture contest, so get creative and good luck. *Our prizing partners **Anthropics** are offering Photocrowd members 10% off of any purchase from **Anthropics Technology Ltd** using the coupon **FV0454**.*

Extremely wonderful use of lighting and poise. The simplicity in her expression is matched by the choice in background, wardrobe, and other elements in the image.
My only suggestion would be to remove the stray hairs on the left side of her profile in order to prevent them from distracting from the face.
Otherwise, this image is beautifully simple, elegant, and remarkable.
