Hunger

It's a perfect image. Compositionally incredible with the spray framing the tiger. The light is also incredible, the detail in the spray is superb and the tiger's expression is simply awe-inspiring. We like it equally in landscape orientation. The right place with the right timing.

This image we'll remember forever. Not only does the man look physically hungry but you can see so many other emotions in his eyes. The most striking thing though is the composition to which this photo is taken. Knowing that the camera is so close to him gives the image a real feel on intimacy with the subject.

Technically/artistically, we don't adore this image but we absolutely love how it relates to our theme and what is captured within the frame. Eyes are drawn to the girl in grey, however we understand that she is kept in because of her banner. Thank you for submitting this.

This was one of our favourite images in the competition. The details and mood within the subject is fantastic but overall we can't find a reason to how she relates to the theme. We would love to but to us she looks like she is really old but not withdrawn in a way. A truly awesome image though, thanks for sharing.
