In conversation.

I love the lighting and atmosphere of this photo. The striking focus of the lady with her face resting on her knuckles who is listening intently to her friend. draws you into the photo, Are both her friends trying to give her words of wisdom?? I love photos that make you question what is going on, this one does that very beautifully..

I loved the composition of this photo , really well balanced and pleasing to the eye being three boats, three hats, three nets, three oars. I liked the atmosphere that made me want to know what they were chatting about and also the rest of the picture which I love in a photo. The photo is enhanced by the lily pads, it struck me that the photographer either waited for sometime to get this capture or was very lucky! I think it would look really good in black and white too. This stuck out from all the photos as a great documentary photo in my humble opinion , It instantly reminded me of the 1950'60's photos that when taken were just really shots of every day life but now are documentary photos, this I feel is the same , it is a scene of an everyday scene we see in every high street , the primark bags emphasis this. In Conversation is the main subject , a young teenage excited giggly conversation which is captured across perfectly , This photo was one of the few photos that was always going to be in the my top ten. This photo was one of my favourites that kept going in and out my top ten, you can't see their faces but you can hear the chatter regardless. I think the angle of looking down on them makes it eye catching, full of vibrant colours it draws you into the photo. I can hear the clashing of plates and criss cross chatter and the smell of good food, if a photo can do this, it must mean it's a great photo!! Thank you for entering my contest.

Technically this is a straight forward, simple photo that kept demanding my attention, I was spoilt for choice in my top ten, there is such a charm and personality to this photo I couldn't ignore, I love the character of the little boy listening so intently to the adult male. It made me wish I could eavesdrop on their conversation. They are both cool characters that make the photo a great documentary photo, would love to see it in black and white? Or with a little HDR to bring it alive a little more. A great capture, well done.
