I love this photograph. It perfectly encapsulates the meaning of this contest. The focus and detail in the foreground of the image grabs the viewer and pulls them in immediately and shows beautifully the cheeky inquisitiveness of this lovely stag. A fun, natural, yet outstanding winning image... Congratulations!

The vivid colour, the sheer detail, and the perfectly captured action tells the story of this image. A very inquisitive animal investigating and trying to catch this insect, hopefully it didn't get stung, but a well timed capture nonetheless. Well done.

There were a lot of images entered into this contest that showed animals investigating cameras and tripods, but to me, this one stood head and shoulders above the rest. It obviously helps that the little Ground Squirrel is in such an inquisitive looking position, as though he lining up a shot himself. However, it was the composition and depth of field used that made this image stand out for me. A great image, Congratulations.

All I think when I look at this image is that one of these sheep heard a noise over the wall and climbed up to investigate, then shouted all her mates over to have a look at what was going on. A very nicely framed shot, with the wall and trees either side, and the white of the sheep against the darker surroundings helps it stand out. Well done on a lovely image that tells an inquisitive little tale.

Those eyes! Portrait photographers always say its all about the eyes, and that is certainly the case for me with this image. I have seen foxes turn just like this when they hear me approaching with my camera, but i haven't quite managed to capture the moment as sublimely as this. The composition, the light, the focus, all perfectly executed. Ears pricked at the likely noise of the photographer and those eyes finding the source of the sound, the fox probably ran off shortly after this shot was taken. So well done for capturing it so well.

Most wildlife photography is done from far away with a long lens, but sometimes photographers can get close to their subject or are lucky enough to come across an inquisitive animal that is interested in them, or wants to inspect their camera. This contest is for those occasions. Have fun, and good luck.
